The cottages are located in a magical setting by moor and mountain in the famous Pembrokeshire National Park. This beautifully converted farm building is full of character and charm, lovingly restored by local craftsmen inspired by the architectural ideas of Rudolf Steiner. There is direct access to the moor, with sheep, wild ponies and an ancient stone circle. There are excellent views, walks, beaches and wildlife. Pottery tuition is offered at Ashera Craft Workshop (on site). Trallwyn Cowshed is totally unique, with curvy stone walls and beams and heaps of charm. On the ground floor there is solid oak flooring, a pine kitchen with an oil fired rayburn, electric oven and gas hob as well as a washing machine and fridge. Opening into dining area and living room which has a bed settee, sofa + rocking chair + a wood burning stove, there is also a portable TV. Upstairs there is 1 double bedroom with cot and beautiful view of the moors from feature oval window and velux roof window. There is also a twin bedded galleried bedroom + a single sleeping loft both with velux windows.There is a shower room with separate toilet with washhand basin. Outside there is a garden area for the Cowshed with it's own garden furniture + also communal gardens and play area for young children. Beyond the garden is a small gate which leads you onto the moor with sheep+ wild ponies + a stone-circle just 5 minutes walk from the cottages. All around are the Preseli Hills. Ideal for short + long walks. on the moor you can picnic by a stream paddle. Or if you prefer you can drive to the outstaning coastline with an abundance of stunning beaches. Pottery Tuition is available with Anna between Easter and September. Anna both a teacher and a potter teaches groups of children, adults and family groups as well offering individual tuition. You can learn to throw pots on the wheel, or relax hand building or making sculpture. If you stay for a week you can make pots at the beginning of your holiday and they can be fired after which you can glaze and decorate them and then after a final firing you can take your finished pottery home with you...On a shorter break there is only time to make the pots and you can discuss with Anna if you want her to fire them for you or you can take them home with you as they are...More info on Trallwyn Cottages website.
